Umbrella Sorcery Super GT Widebody Acura NSX

It’s been two years since Ravi started building this monster, and each second that went into the car, was done with just the right precision. I’ve shot a lot of cars over the years, but each of them had their own flaws one way or another, too much attention here, not enough there, etc. However, when Ravi pulled this monster up and I finally saw it in person, I really couldn’t find a flaw. There are always things that you and I might do different to a car if we had it, but set those aside, and find a flaw on this one. The massive layers of metallic paint, the body kit so perfectly lined up it looks stock.

Don’t Sweat the Details…

I have been mulling the idea of doing a details portfolio on my website. Mainly because I have a huge amount of REALLY good detail shots. Motors, Interiors, Wheels, you name it, I probably have a have a decent shot of it. I’m sort of testing the waters with this post to see how much traffic I get with it. Some of the shots you see below are just a fraction of what I have in my library of pictures. I might have better and I definitely have worse, but below are some I think are my personal favorite shots. I hope you enjoy.

Top Left: This is an unpublished image from John Rhee’s Mercedes CLS shoot. I had Jason Siu hold a single flash while I used the sun to do the rest of the work. Top Right: This is an oldie but a goodie. This is a valve cover to a super clean Blue EK Civic that I shot for Import Racer.

Feature – John Rhee Mercedes CLS 55

CNC John Rhee Mercedes Benz CLS 55

I had the pleasure of shooting John Rhee’s new Mercedes Benz CLS55 the other month for cover of Performance Auto and Sound Magazine. The car built by Seattle area tuners Car Nutz Customs features a wealth of modifications. If the two-tone paint didn’t catch your attention, maybe the custom red carbon weave in the hood and the roof might.  I wish I could show you all the photos from the shoot, because the motor interior and audio is just as crazy as the exterior, and cleanly built. The car now resides in Southern California with the rest of John’s aresenal of cars, which I’ll be shooting next weekend!

Stay tuned for more featured work to come!
