Jan 2010
As a part of the new items I’ve started designing for 2011, Proposals are a hot ticket, especially for teams, cars and builders. This is a sample of what I built for SpeedFactory.
It was requested that we make a flyer for the Tuner Galleria showcase for 2011 that could be altered for featured cars, models and talent. Check out the original design we created for their show.
Corksport is well known in the Mazda realm as being the high end producers of performance Mazda products. They requested that I design them a new, hip brochure they could hand out at events and be suitable at dealerships. We did two brochures for them, one for the Mazda 3 and another for the Speed3 [...]
With my recent logo change, I decided it was time that I updated my business cards. If I was going to update my cards, I wanted to showcase something more than just your standard card and let clients know what type of options they have without going overboard.
I designed a rounded 16pt standard business card that had both Spot UV coating and a Foil stamp.
The “cool” part about the card is how most the card is flat in tone, but the Spot UV parts are super glossy which make them stand out. Same goes for the Silver Foil on the logo.
As we’re half way through the first month of the new year, I’ve decided to bring back my monthly digital wallpaper calendars. This time I’ll keep them up and they’ll be ready to download on the 1st of each month! To save myself the headache and time, I have decided that I’m only going to do two sizes, 1920×1440 and 1920×1200, both widescreen in High Def quality for your new giant 3D OLED LCD’s everyone picked up at CES this year, heh.
Moving along, Gracing the cover of the JANUARY 2010 Calendar is Richard Furigay’s BMW 545i shot atop BMW of Seattle’s Parking garage looking at QWEST Field during sunset. Enjoy.

Brought to you by Camera Armor and Speedmotiv.com!
I have a handful of Camera Armor Lens Hoods to giveaway. If you don’t already know what they are, take a look at the pictures below. Basically, they are rubber hoods that stretch and attach on your lens, essentially protecting it from bumps, drops, random objects that might come flying at it for whatever reason. I use Camera Armor on all my camera gear, it has protected me against a lot of mishaps!
I’ll be giving away 1 lens hood a week every Friday, for 6 weeks. I have 6 total, two black, two camo and two smoke.
Giveaways will happen two ways, you can post a comment on this post, and by link back. The more link backs you make, the better your chances are. The link backs have to show on my comments however. So, post a comment, that’s one entry, post a blog or comment on another site that links back here, that’s another entry. Not much work for something that’s free and protects your camera!
Winners will be drawn at random! Goodluck to everyone!

* Please note that this is only for the lens hood, not the camera body armor.
Week 1 Winner - Nate Zimmer! Congrats!
If you’ve entered, you can still win! 5 more weeks to go, don’t forget those link backs and blog posts!
