As a part of the new items I’ve started designing for 2011, Proposals are a hot ticket, especially for teams, cars and builders. This is a sample of what I built for SpeedFactory.
It was requested that we make a flyer for the Tuner Galleria showcase for 2011 that could be altered for featured cars, models and talent. Check out the original design we created for their show.
Corksport is well known in the Mazda realm as being the high end producers of performance Mazda products. They requested that I design them a new, hip brochure they could hand out at events and be suitable at dealerships. We did two brochures for them, one for the Mazda 3 and another for the Speed3 [...]
Well, Almost a winner! I did come in 2nd place thanks to everyone who voted for me! A special thanks to everyone that spread the word amongst their friends to vote for me as well! A well fought battle with Komodomedia.com, but in my honest opinion, their site is very cool. So they deserve 1st place.Â

This is a call for one last push to get some votes for the WP Freedom Blog Competition that I posted about earlier, I had lost my top spot to komodomedia.com, which is fine, because their site is really nice and well put together. However, I still want that second place spot!

In my last post you got to see a small thumbnail of the CNC Aston Martin Vanquish on the cover of Modified Luxury and Exotics, their last issue ever, that comes out in a few days. The pictures turned out awesome, I suggest you pick one up, as a favor to me, and the magazine in its last days. The second cover is of the CNC Mercedes Benz CL600 Evolution. This one landed on the cover of Performance Auto and Sound for the new year and it looks hot. There is a rumor floating around that I might have yet another 3rd cover coming out the begining of the year with Heavy Hitters feature of Scooter Bingham, well, one of his cars of course.
It would be nice to start the year with 3 covers… talk about a new years resolution!
 
 
So it goes without saying that the times are tough, and especially harder on some of the less popular, but better magazines out there. This past Friday, Source Interlink announced that it would be closing down both Sport Compact Car and Modified Luxury and Exotics magazines. I never got the privelage to shoot for SCC, which is sad because it was one of the first magazines I ever picked up. MLE on the other hand, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Colum Wood for a few features. This last issue, which comes out December 2nd, will be the last, and I am proud to have the cover with Car Nutz Customs Aston Martin Vanquish.
RIP MLE and SCC, we’ll miss you.
