The Ultimate Seattle

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

There are times of the year where a photographer waits for that ONE shot that will make him happy. This could be one of those moments. It was a warm day in Seattle, it had rained the previous days (which cleans up the air here) and the moon was supposed to be out in full effect.

The Goonies

This image was originally shot with my first D-SLR, my Fuji S1 Pro. The camera was great, but had a real issue with hot pixels during long exposures, so I really only could take a few shots from Cannon Beach before the sensor got too hot. I named it after the classic movie, The Goonies because it takes place in the same area.

Seattle from Kerry Park

Marc Staiger and myself figured that the day was going to be really nice so we had planned a trip downtown to take some shots. We actually went to Kerry Park on Queen Anne and camped out for a few hours because we knew it was gonna be an awesome sunset. Sure enough, as the sun started, Kerry Park was packed full of people, but we had the best spots.
