Rise of Ares
a Red Rising Fan Art Print
Red Rising pulled me back to the drawing table.
Pierce Brown’s series is a story about rebellion, loyalty, and breaking the chains, and it brought back something I hadn’t felt in years: the urge to create. This piece is my tribute to Sevro as Ares, hand drawn in graphite and finished as a limited print with red foil and raised UV texture.
Only 100 will ever exist. Each one is signed and numbered by me.
Ares rises again.
This piece shows Sevro au Barca in Morning Star, the moment he takes up his father’s mantle. His helmet blends Fitchner’s original design from the Sons of Ares comics with a new look, and behind the mask are Darrow’s red eyes. He wears matte and gloss black power armor, ready for the war ahead.
The original was hand drawn in graphite on 11" × 17" Bristol vellum, then scanned and finished with color and design in Photoshop.
Across the top reads SURGE NOBISCUM, “Rise with Us,” above ARES in red foil. To the right is a line every Howler will recognize: Live for more. Faded into the wall on the left, a Sons of Ares tag marks the territory.
The print
Red foil lettering and accents catch the light from every angle, while raised 3D gloss UV adds texture you can feel. The larger format gives the graphite detail room to come through, so it holds its own on any wall.
Limited to 100
Only 100 copies exist. Each one is hand signed and numbered by the artist, and this edition will never be restocked.

More than ink on paper.
Red foil brings the lettering and accents to life, reflecting light as you move around it. Raised gloss UV adds a tactile layer over the helmet and armor, so the detail from the original graphite drawing literally stands out.
From sketch to signature.
